Music Ministry

Have a song in your heart?  Melodies on your mind?  If so, there is a place for you in the Music Ministry of United Baptist Church!

The Sanctuary Choir, composed of volunteer singers ages high school through adult, rehearses each Wednesday night at 7:30 in the choir room on the second floor.  This group performs a wide variety of music, from church music "classics" to works by current composers.  As always, the emphasis is on worship through music.

The Sanctuary Choir welcomes new members to any rehearsal.  We supply the music and the robe; you supply the gift of music that God has given you.  Combined, we can make music that glorifies God and provides a lift to the spirit!  Come and Sing!

With the support of the Children and Youth Ministries of the church, the Music Ministry is able to offer seasonal choirs for young singers.  While the groups do not rehearse every week, they do meet as musical opportunities are available to practice music fundamentals and learn music for worship leadership in some services.  Young singers or their parents/guardians are encouraged to contact the church office or the Minister of Music for more details.

United Baptist Church is fortunate to have access to area amateur and professional instrumentalists that offer uplifting music in worship services.  While our gifted organist and pianist lead in worship each week, additional musicians appear throughout the church year to lead in music on a variety of orchestral and band instruments.  These additional music leadership opportunities are open to other interested musicians.  Those who would like to participate are invited to contact the Minister of Music for details, and to discuss musical worship leadership opportunities.
